Whadduuppp! My name is Kylie!

I come to therapeutic work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I believe that everyone can work to realize their own idea of mental wellness and optimal mental health. I prioritize building a connected therapeutic relationship; a meaningful and genuine connection that is fueled by sharing your story and experiencing acceptance.

I strive to have your therapy sessions be a place to deepen your understanding of both personal identity and environment to more fully recognize areas you’d like to change, accept or grow. In addition to individual diagnosis, my goal is to highlight how social, cultural and environmental factors participate in your overall well-being and mental health.

I am described as warm, direct and deeply authentic in sessions and I have found that clients who are drawn to these ways of being find our work especially supportive.

As a clinician I am grateful and intentional about ongoing learning to refine what I know and learn what I have not. I consider training/education from a myriad of backgrounds and perspectives essential to my practice.

My overall therapeutic approach is to work alongside individuals or families to identify their internal processes, maintain self-compassion and mindfully move towards choices that result in desired change. I value actively anti-oppressive, intersectional therapeutic modalities and I hope to acknowledge power dynamics in and outside of therapy to address them when available. I welcome all.

I have a multidisciplinary approach in therapy that includes the following:

  • Cognitive (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Exposure Response Prevention
  • Creative Art-based Therapy
  • Psycho-Somatic Integration
  • Co-regulation or Mindfulness-based Interventions
  • Play Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Attachment Theory-based Interventions
  • Trauma-informed CBT and Intimacy-based interventions
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • ADHD/ Neurodivergent Skill building

She/her pronouns (or my name), please.

I am a cis-gendered, white female originally from Portland, Oregon. When I am not at work I am probably doing one of these things: delicious food, being outside, making ceramic art, hanging with my animals, learning from others, strength/endurance training, reading, telling jokes, or watching the same few TV shows over and over.
